Protests and Marches on 9th Anniversary of Sheikh Ali Salman's Arrest

Bahrain Mirror: Mass marches were staged in the capital, Manama, and several areas and towns on the 9th anniversary of the arrest of Al-Wefaq Secretary-General, Sheikh Ali Salman, on September 29, 2023.
In the south of the capital, a mass march was held during which participants raised the Bahraini flags, photos of Sheikh Salman and banners with phrases such as "Advocate Palestine" and "Advocate Al-Aqsa" as a reminder of Sheikh Ali's stances in support of Palestine. Protestor also chanted slogans demanding his release, the cancellation of the normalization agreement with the occupation entity and the expulsion of its ambassador from Bahrain.
They also demanded the release of prisoners of conscience. Meanwhile, security forces prevented the march from reaching the center of the capital.
Another protest was staged in Bilad Al-Qadeem, during which protestors held the flags of Bahrain, photos of Sheikh Salman and banners with phrases that show solidarity with Palestine, and demanding the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador.
Participants in the march chanted "You imprisoned the peacefulness" slogan, referring to the regime's repression of the peaceful movement and its arrest of a large number of citizens for expressing their opinion.
