Bahrain Mirror: The Jaw Prison administration prevented opposition leader and prisoner of conscience Sheikh Saeed Mirza Al-Nouri from attending the funeral ceremony of his father, Mirza Al-Nouri, who passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023.

Sheikh Al-Nouri said in a statement today, Monday, December 11, 2023: "I was begging God Almighty to enable me to bid farewell to my dear father, may God have mercy on him, and for that I had to delay his burial for a few days."

"Unfortunately, I was deprived of having a last farewell look at my dear father, and I was also deprived of having a farewell look at my dear brother Isa before that," he said.

Sheikh Al-Nouri extended "sincere condolences to the honorable family and apologies for any embarrassment caused by the delay of my father's funeral."
