Bahrain Mirror: The High Court of Appeals commuted a court of first instance's verdict issued against a defendant from 5 to 3 years in prison and a verdict issued against 3 others from 3 to 1 year in prison over charges of assembling in Buri, arson and acquiring Molotov cocktails.
The court of first instance said that it was merciful with the first, second and fourth suspects because they are under 18 years of age.
The Public Prosecution claimed that the defendants, on December 18, 2014, in the Capital Governorate, along with others, set fire to tires, endangering people's lives and properties. It also accused them of taking part, along with other unknown suspects, in an assembly of more than 5 people, aiming at disturbing public peace and using violence to achieve the aim they gathered for as well as acquiring Molotov cocktails.
