Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Public Prosecution said that it is looking into the possibility of appealing against the ruling to drop charge from which the opposition leader Sheikh Ali Salman was acquitted; i.e. "Promoting change of political regime".

On its official Twitter account, the Public Prosecution posted on Tuesday (June 16, 2015) that the High Criminal Court "sentenced the secretary-general of one of Bahrain's political societies (Al-Wefaq Secretary-General Sheikh Ali Salman) to four years in prison on charges of publicly inciting hatred against a sect of people which will result in disrupting public disorder, publicly inciting others to disobey the law, approving of acts that constitute crimes and publicly insulting the Interior Ministry by describing its members as mercenaries and claiming that some of them are affiliated to terrorist organizations; and acquitted him of the charge of promoting change of political regime."

The Public Prosecution also said in its statement which was posted on Twitter that it "is now determined to study the grounds for the verdict that acquitted the defendant (Sheikh Ali Salman) of some charges and look into the possibility of appealing against the ruling if there were legal grounds for it."
