Hisham Al-Sabbagh: After 24 Years of Waiting, Housing Ministry Cancels My Housing Application

Bahrain Mirror: The Housing Ministry has cancelled a housing application submitted by Hisham Al-Sabbagh, a leader in the Islamic Action Society, Amal.
Al-Sabbagh said, in posts on the "X" platform today, Monday, December 11, 2023: "I thought that they (the ministry) called me to tell me about the distribution of housing houses on the occasion of December and the "National Day", and that I would receive a house this year after waiting for 24 years and withdrawing the housing allowance, but they told me: your housing application has been cancelled."
Al-Sabbagh considered that this is "an unnatural revenge and deprivation is not personal, but against the citizen's family," wondering: "Who sets the laws and who replaces them? And why did the timing of the decision come in particular during the days of distribution of housing units? Why is there no prior notice of service stoppage?"
