Bahrain Mirror: The president of the Bahrain Forum for Human Rights, Baqer Darwish, said that the stance of Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in his opening speech at the "Manama Dialogue" on Gaza, "does not reflect at all the popular consensus in solidarity with Palestine which calls for the cancellation and abolition of the normalization process and the expulsion of the ambassador of the Israeli entity."
Darwish added, in a post on the "X" platform, that "Distorting the portrayal of organizations, factions, parties, or entities not aligning with the authorities' policies is a characteristic of the official discourse in Bahrain," highlighting that "the state's controlled media harbor sufficient instances of such stances employed by the government against the opposition."
He drew attention to the fact that "the Bahraini crown prince uses the same policy and the same discourse to demonize a key component in Palestine, in a clear and unambiguous bias towards the Israeli occupation entity."
Darwish said, "we are talking here about the shift of official discourse from the context of justifying normalization to the context of criminalizing a Palestinian component with the intention of criminalizing the legitimate right of Palestinian struggle."
