Bahrain Officially Opens Largest Catholic Church in Gulf

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain opened the largest Catholic church in the Gulf region.
King Hamad deputised his personal representative, his son Abdullah bin Hamad, for the opening of the new Catholic church, which is considered the largest in the Gulf region. Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, the Dean of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples attended from the Vatican.
The Cathedral was built on a 9,000 square metres plot of land in Awali that was donated by Bahrain.
During the ceremony, Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed Bahrain's pride in its relations with the church for its pivotal role in spreading the culture of peace and love
