King Hamad Alludes to Qatar, Stresses Desire to Hold Dialogue to Address "Gulf Stalled Issues"

Bahrain Mirror: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa alluded in his speech yesterday to his desire to hold dialogue about "Gulf stalled issues".
The king delivered a speech welcoming the distinguished participants in the "Manama Dialogue" forum and affirmed Bahrain's commitment to opening channels of communication to settle any stalled issues.
He also highlighted the need to ensure regional maritime security against any hostile actions, and to protect the freedom of navigation and commercial sea routes.
"The Middle East, which is a highly-important region in the world, continues to be threatened in its security and stability, amid mounting challenges," he said.
He reiterated Bahrain's firm commitment to peace, dialogue and coexistence, as stipulated recently in the Abraham Accords, Bahrain News Agency reported.
Bahraini officials express their dissatisfaction with the "Al-Ula Summit Agreement", which ended the boycott imposed on Qatar by Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Bahrain. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia expresses satisfaction with the outcome of the agreement. The Egyptian-Qatari relations are in progress, and the UAE-Qatari relations are progressing, albeit slowly, while tension continue to prevail between Bahrain and Qatar.
