Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wafaa leader Abdulwahab Hussein said that prisoners represent a strong card, indicating that they pose a major problem for the government.
Hussein, who is serving a life sentence for leading protests, explained that "the prisoners cause a big crisis for the government more than being a problem and suffering for the people", commenting that "taking a stance on the basis of people's suffering and ignoring the fact that they cause an issue for the government is a big mistake."
"Intrinsic value lies in honesty, integrity, sincerity and fortitude. Autumn leaves fall so that the tree renews and becomes more fruitful," he said in a statement from inside the prison.
He concluded the statement by saying that the total of prisoners is a strong card that helps understand the present reality, expected to play a significant role in the future. They are influential and effective in their numbers, the brutality of their experience, and the place they have gained in society, so they must be seen as a strong card that has become tougher with time, rather than a cause for pity.
