Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Although the official Bahraini authorities announced that flights from five countries heavily struck by the Coronavirus: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka have been suspended, one can notice that this announcement was only issued to calm down the popular angry reaction.

The announcement only aimed at silencing the popular voices critical of the government decision to open airlines with these states and turn Bahrain into a quarantine for travelers.

Bahrain Mirror spoke to a number of sources and visited Bahrain's airport website that revealed the truth.

Well-informed sources say that the Civil Aviation Affairs decision doesn't stipulate the suspension of airlines with India and its neighboring countries that are experiencing a very dangerous situation, explaining that the ban includes people coming from these countries with a visit or transit visa.

However, the sources say that the ban doesn't include people allowed to enter Bahrain, who are: individuals coming to Bahrain with a work visa, residency holders, those who own property, or tenants of property in the country.

Returning to Bahrain International Airport's website, with regard to flights from countries where the Indian mutated virus is widespread, it is clear that flights continue with 6 flights per day.

Details of their arrival from the airports of the following cities to Bahrain International Airport: Lahore - capital of Pakistan; Dhaka - capital of Bangladesh; Mangalore - India; Multan - Pakistan; Colombo - Sri Lanka; Sialkot - Pakistan.

People coming on these flights are hundreds of workers and employees working in the Gulf States. They enter Bahrain with official residences which they can buy, use the country as a quarantine, and then leave to the countries where they work, where they are welcomed as they have come through a "safe passage".

It is clear from this empty decision announced yesterday that the official authorities in Bahrain, specifically the final decision makers in the authority, do not care about the recommendations of the National Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus, and that the priority among decision makers is politically and financially driven.

The health situation changed in Bahrain. It has become among the top infected countries and has entered the Red Zone for various reasons related to decisions that have no regard for the Kingdom's health and humanitarian issues.
