COVID-19 Patient Sentenced to 3-Year Jail Term over Deliberately Attempting to Transmit Virus to Doctors

Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court sentence a COVID-19 patient to 3 years in jail and BD 1,000 fine over attempting to transmit the Coronavirus to doctors through coughing in their faces.
Courts documents indicated that the Public Health Department had reported that the accused intentionally removed his face mask and coughed in front of the staff during his last COVID-19 examination. The patient intentionally coughed in his hand and then quickly touched doctors in order to transmit the virus to them.
Reports noted that the patient came to the center to undergo his last COVID-19 examination.
