Saudi National Receives 15-Year Jail Term over Smuggling Drugs through King Fahd Causeway

Bahrain Mirror: The First High Criminal Court sentenced a Saudi national, accused of smuggling narcotics through King Fahd Causeway, to 15 years in jail and fined him 5000 BD. The court acquitted the second suspect of charge of smuggling Hasheesh (Cannabis) for leading him to the first. It also handed down a one-year jail term and 1000BD fine to the third, fourth and fifth defendants. The court ordered to deport the first, fourth and fifth suspects from the country after serving the verdict and ordered the confiscation of seized items.
