Bahrain Mirror: The Fourth High Criminal Court sentenced on Wednesday (September 25, 2019) 4 suspects to 3 and 7 years in prison in a political case.
The court sentenced the first and second suspects to 7 years in prison and fined the second 100.000 BD. It also handed down 3-year prison term to the third and fourth suspects, fined the third 100.000 BD and ordered the confiscation of seized items.
The authorities claim that the first and second wanted suspects, who are outside the country, established a cell inside the Kingdom to carry out operations and manufacture explosives targeting policemen.
Investigations showed that they recruited a number of members. The third was identified. It was also discovered that he was tasked to provide the chemical substances used in manufacturing explosives and that he was funded with money needed for that.
The third suspect was also tasked to recruit other members, including the fourth suspect. The fourth, along with the third, bought the substances used in manufacturing explosives using the car of the third suspect, noting that they kept these materials at their homes waiting for the orders of the first and second suspects.
