Prosecution Appeals Acquittal of “Daily Tribune” Chairman in Publishing False News Case

Bahrain Mirror: The High Criminal Court of Appeal in Bahrain is hearing the Public Prosecutor's Office's appeal against the verdict issued against the English-speaking Daily Tribune newspaper chairman, who was acquitted by a court of first instance.
The Prosecution accused the chairman of publishing false news about a European businessman's embezzlement of 62,000 dinars and management of a shell company, noting that he also has a criminal record. The court adjourned the appeal of the prosecution for ruling on April 29.
