Shura Council Calls for More Legislations to Monitor and Control Social Media Outlets

Bahrain Mirror: The appointed Shura Council called for more legislations to monitor and control social media outlets.
A statement issued by the council said that it "expressed concern about the misuse of the freedom of opinion and expression guaranteed by the constitution and laws, which may affect the civil peace, security and societal stability."
The council stressed the support of all legal measures to protect the community against calls of incitement, fueling hatred and the exploitation of social media for the dissemination of rumors.
It expressed determination to enact more legislation and laws on promoting the authority of bodies concerned with monitoring the use of social media outlets.
