Bahrain Mirror- Exclusive: Economic and trading group, Insider Monkey, launched the ranking of the 25 most racist countries, where Bahrain occupied the third rank after Lebanon and India.
The group combined the findings from two separate surveys in race relations. The first survey was conducted by the Washington Post and broadly asked if people would like having people of other races as neighbors. The second survey was more direct, asking whether respondents had seen or experienced racism.
It said that 31% of respondents in Bahrain said that they don't want neighbors of another race. Meanwhile, more than 85% said that they witnessed or suffered from racism.
The list of the most racist countries in the world included 8 Arab countries: Libya, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Palestine, Algeria, Yemen and Morocco. The list also included countries like Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Pakistan, Russia and Turkey.
The findings cover the responses of over 85,000 people from 61 countries between 2014 and 2015.
