Saudi Arabia Builds BD 100 Million Medical City in Durrat Al Bahrain

Bahrain Mirror: The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) signed on Thursday (January 4, 2018) the first of the contracts for the construction of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Medical City with the Saudi Fund for Development.
The late Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz had ordered during his visit to Bahrain April 2010 to build a medical city in Durrat Al Bahrain.
The Medical City will include 300 beds and a full range of outpatient clinics, in addition to 15 operating rooms and quality support medical services such as advanced laboratories and a pharmacy.
Khalid Abdul Rahman Al-Ohaly, President of AGU said that this Medical City provides medical services to all residents of the Kingdom.
Saudi Arabia chose to fund educative and housing projects in the Southern Governorate away from the opposition areas that suffer from negligence.
