Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain began applying the decision to impose visa on citizens and residents of Qatar on Friday (November 10, 2017).
"As of 9/11/2017, Qatari travelers are not allowed to enter the country (Bahrain) without obtaining an approved entry visa from the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence," the decision said.
The decision includes the wives of GCC citizens and foreigners residing in Qatar, which includes nationals from 67 countries, whose nationals used to obtain immediate visas and now have to obtain pre-approved visas before they are allowed to enter.
The decision did not exempt the holders of diplomatic or special passports, as they are also required to obtain pre-approved visas before they were allowed to enter.
The decision comes amidst the escalation of the Gulf crisis and an unprecedented media dispute between the four countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Bahrain) on the one hand, and Qatar on the other.
