Saudi Ambassador: Bahraini Women to Drive to and in Saudi Arabia starting next June

Bahrain Mirror: Saudi Ambassador in Bahrain, Abdullah Al al-Sheikh, said that the Bahraini woman, and any other woman can drive in Saudi Arabia starting next June.
In a statement to local Gulf News newspaper, the ambassador said that the Bahraini woman will be able to drive her car and cross the causeway. He noted that the Bahraini woman will not subject to any restrictions on driving her car alone in Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, he indicated that there will be equality between women and men, based on the new traffic rules. Regarding having a Saudi woman driving out alone, that would be decided by other rules not related to women driving, adding that driving the car alone is even subject to the approval of her guardian.
