Haj Cost in Bahrain Up to BD 2400
2017-07-16 - 2:07 am
Bahrain Mirror: A local Bahraini newspaper reported that the average cost of the pilgrimage to Mecca (haj) is around BD 2400 per person. The reason behind this is suggested to be due to the reduced number of people in each pilgrimage group by 60%.
Al-Ayyam daily said according to Bahraini nationals, that the prices at pilgrimage groups are not compatible with the incomes of Bahrainis and residents, and that would prevent them from performing this religious obligation.
Moreover, the daily confirmed a number of pilgrimage groups stopped accepting requests for haj.
Some groups presented special "VIP" offers for clients, under a cost of approximately BD 5000 per person.
