Bahrain Mirror: Editor in Chief of Qatar's Al-Arab newspaper, Abdullah al-Azba, said that Bahrain "does not have its independent decision". In an interview on the Qatari television, Al-Azba said that the most honest way to describe the island of Bahrain is the "country of retweets".
Commenting on the different Bahraini statements about the Turkish base in Qatar, al-Azba said that "we all remember when Bahrain Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmad Al Khalifa visited Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi and said that he does now have any fear over Egypt while it has this decent man". However, al-Azba said that after the Abu Dhabi-funded coup that brought General Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, Bahrain's Foreign Minister expressed support of the coup against Morsi.
"To be realistic what is the Bahrain island? It is an island that belongs to Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi, both of which financially fund it. Therefore, it does not have any independent decision, and it's honest to name it the island of retweets," the Qatari journalist stated.
