Bahrain Mirror: The brother of a detainee held at Dry Dock Prison, reported his brother saying that Martyr Hassan Al-Hayiki suffered a heart attack due to the brutal torture he was subjected to by state security and criminal investigations officers.
He said his detained brother told him that the martyr Al-Hayiki, 35, suffered a heart attack, and his fellow detainees immediately asked for urgent medical help, and that Al-Hayiki be transferred to the Dry Dock prison clinic. The police took too long to response to the pleas, and after repeated calls from the detainees; Al-Hayiki was transferred to the prison clinic, where he was treated very slowly and with total neglect. After that, it was decided to transfer Al-Hayiki to the Salmaniya Medical Complex, and due to security measures, the transfer was delayed, and the worn-out detainee reached the hospital in a tragic healthy status. He then died due to torture, neglect, and the absence of any consideration for the wellbeing and manhood of prisoners.
A man at the Salmaniya Medical Complex, stated that the policeman accompanying Al-Hayiki did not accept to remove the cuffs from martyr Al-Hayiki's hands when they were trying to treat him. The man also reported that a fight broke out between the police and the doctors who were trying their best to save the martyr, whose body was completely exhausted due to torture.
