Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini High Appeals Court commuted a court of first instance's verdict issued against two defendants from 2 years to 6 months over hiding wanted fugitives.
The high criminal court sentenced the 2 suspects to 2 years in prison after convicting them of hiding 4 wanted fugitives over security cases in a house in Al-Nabih Saleh.
The Public Prosecution accused the suspects of hiding 4 wanted fugitives over security cases (of political background). 3 of the 4 fugitives were sentenced to temporal detention. Meanwhile, an arrest warrant was issued against the fourth suspect who is accused of felony.
The authorities claim that they received a notice from the Criminal Investigation Department stating that the suspects are hiding wanted fugitives and offering them help and food. Conducting the "necessary investigations", it was revealed that the suspects are hiding 4 wanted over security issues. Security patrols were then sent to the address and all the suspects were arrested.
