Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini High Criminal Court sentenced 11 defendants to 7 years in prison and 5 others to 3, over charges of assembling in Sitra.
The Public Prosecution claimed that in 2015, the defendants, along with other unknown suspects, attacked a policeman, took part in as assembly and acquired Molotov cocktails.
The authorities allege that the first and third defendants planned to hold an assembly, riot and attack security service men. They agreed to go out in two groups and attack security forces located near the police station. The authorities claim that the two defendants urged the other suspects to take part in the incident and manufactured flammable bombs. After they assembled, the two defendants distributed the Molotov cocktails among the other suspects and headed towards the site where the security forces were located, attacked them and fled the scene, said the authorities.
