Bahrain Mirror: The High Court of Appeals adjourned the case of Fadhel Abbas, former Secretary General of the Unitary National Democratic Assemblage (Al-Wahdawi party) until October 26, 2016. Abbas is being tired over charges of "spreading false news and harming military operations."
A court of first instance sentenced Abbas to 5 years in prison over spreading false and misleading news and rumors that would harm the military operations of the armed forces.
The court referred to the statements and expressions used by Abbas in detail. They said he described "the Arab rulers participating in the coalition with inappropriate expressions", and said that "Houthis will defeat the enemies; Bahrain and KSA," talking about the aggression and the massacres "that he claimed were committed by the coalition forces against the children and elderly and claiming that the United States is responsible for the Gulf war on Yemen."
