Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini High Criminal Court convicted 7 defendants of detonating homemade explosives in Al-Naim area. The court sentenced the first three defendants to 10 years in prison, while sentencing the remaining four to 3.
The authorities claim that the first three defendants committed the crime by manufacturing a homemade bomb, planting the bomb and conspiring with the other defendants to hold an assembly and set fire to trash containers to lure the police into the area. They further allege that when the policemen approached the place of the fire, the three defendants detonated the bomb, which the remaining defendants weren't aware of, causing damage to the police vehicle.
The authorities say that they identified the suspects through "criminal investigations and private sources."
