Appeals Court Upholds 7-Year Jail Term against Suspect over Hoax Bomb

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini High Appeals Court, presided over by Sheikh Mohammad bin Ali Al Khalifa and Naji Abdullah as secretariat, upheld in absentia a 7-year jail sentence issued by a first degree court against a Bahraini (43 years old) over planting hoax explosives.
The public prosecution accused the defendant of planting a hoax bomb, along with other unknown suspects, for a terrorist purpose.
The authorities claim that at approximately 8:20, the suspect planted hoax explosives, along with other unknown suspects, in Abu Baham village for a terrorist purpose. The rapid reaction force arrived to the site to examine the bomb and discovered that it was hoax.
The authorities claim that it identified the suspect through investigations, confidential sources and his fingerprints.
