Bahrain Mirror: The General Directorate of the Bahraini Interior Ministry's Anti-Corruption & Economic & Electronic Security Department announced that a suspect was taken into custody over charges of fundraising for producing a movie that "insults the [Prophet's] companions on social media."

The general directorate claimed in a statement that it monitored an account that provided a phone number for receiving donations, and thus the phone number owner was identified and arrested after the Public Prosecution issued a warrant.

It further stated that necessary legal procedures are underway and that the case will later be referred to the Public Prosecution.
