Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Minister of Interior Rashid Abdullah Al Khalifa said on Thursday (July 30, 2015) that those involved in the killing of two of his men, holding the Pakistani passport, deserve the "death penalty".
The Ministry of Interior posted on its own Twitter account that the minister headed the military funeral procession of the "martyrs of duty". The minister said that "those who intentionally committed this heinous crime will receive a legal punishment" and that they, and those who are similar to them, "deserve to receive the capital punishment so that they would be an example to anyone who plans to commit such criminal acts."
The Ministry of Interior had already announced on Tuesday (July 28, 2015) the killing of two of its officers in a blast that targeted their bus in Sitra. However, the opposition parties doubted this incident and called for establishing an independent investigation committee to look into the incident.
