Sheikh Ali Salman’s First Appeal Hearing to be Held on September 15

Bahrain Mirror: Abdullah Al-Shamlawi, one of the defence lawyers of the leader of Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, Sheikh Ali Salman, said that they have lodged "appeal number 571-2015 against the sentence handed down to Sheikh Ali Salman," adding that Sheikh Salman's first appeal hearing will be held on September 15, 2015.
It is worth mention that Bahrain's Fourth High Criminal Court, presided over by judge Ali bin Khalifa Al-Dhahrani, sentenced Bahrain's opposition leader and Secretary-General of Al-Wefaq, Sheikh Ali Salman, to four years in prison, entered into force. Meanwhile, dozens of human rights organizations condemned this verdict. For its part, Britain expressed its concern at the verdict, while the United States demanded that the charges raised against Sheikh Salman be dropped.
